CDNN is selling 96 Centurion conversions for around 150.00 with one 11 round magazine. H/w, i would also take mr combatjack's advice: w/out hi-cap, i'd opt for my 1911s myself.but thats just b/c i enjoy shooting em a heck of a lot more than my glocks or HKsĬonverting a M92FS to a M96 is simple. Oh crap, you are in CA.you are in a bigger rut than i thought-so many limitations, even for HGs 40sw is not for ME h/w, it might be for you (it seems to fit the needs of millions already!)īasically: try out a lot of em and find the one that fits YOU and your needs (caliber and gun wise) before you commit to buying 40sw is impossible to shoot just as fast or as comforatably as any other rnd in any particular auto, to the contrary, its realtively easy in the grand scheme of things and w/ the right practice and some getting use to, anyone can adapt to it You mentioned hunting.is it for SD/put-a-bad-animal down b/c it got too close type HG? H/w, your origional thread topic is comparing 2 9mms.are you now considering changing to a larger caliber? Yeah im stuck in a rut! i want a 40 cal but i dont want to deal with that.ill take the firearm hunting and i dont know if i want a 9mm with me.id get the new 21sf but my friends father owns the local gun store and he said the glock reps basically said F**k california and they wont pay to get new gen glocks approved or shiped to california.what would you reccomend ALPHAGHOST?
BERETTA M9 VS GLOCK 17 PLUS
That being said, my M9 with CTC lasergrips saved my life, plus it was my first pistol so I am going to pass it down to my son. I love my Beretta but I'd get rid of it before my Glocks. Everyone should own atleast one eat guns. You cannot go wrong with eiether. For what its worth, if I could only have one handgun it would undoubtibly be a G17. Its totally personal preference.get the one that you like the most or that you shoot the best. IMO, as a defensive handgun they are essentially equal. The newer Berettas have improved locking blocks and benefit from further development so alot of the slanderous things people say about them is no longer true. Your G17 will never chunk a locking block, your Beretta could/will. While the Beretta is an extremely reliable weapon, it has more things that could cause it too fail compared to the Glock. Its certainly a great gun and now that MDS/Beretta makes a 17 round OEM magazine, like Mecgar has been for years, the Glock surrenders one of its biggest advantages, capacity. The M9 has the smoothest action of any autopistol IMO and the trigger is heavy, but very smooth and usable. IMO, the excessive weight/heft cancels out the increase recoil/flip from the higher bore axis.but YMMV. Its heavier/wider than it has to be and its operating mechanism makes for a higher bore axis. My only complaint about the M9/92FS is its dimensions. The Beretta M9 is in use with militaries/LE agencies the world over, and rightly so.its one of the best fighting pistols availible. I have put thousands of rounds through it and can't remember a single failure. Up until very recently it was my everyday carry gun. When it was time to buy a pistol I immediatly aquired a M9. I hunt with a Beretta Pintail and in the worst SD hunting weather it has yet to stutter, suffice to say it has proved without a doubt that Beretta makes good stuff. I have both a G17 and Beretta M9, I love 'em both. i think this is more a matter of personal preference than anything else. personally, i've never had any issue with mine. a lot of people criticize the slide mounted safety. the new mec-gars just stick out slightly as to not make the gun unwieldy like older hi-caps did. that may have been true before, but the new factory MDS mags are 17 rounds and mec-gar has a flush fit 18 round mag with an optional +2 floorplate for a total of 20 rounds that almost fit flush in the mag well. it's often criticized for being such a large handgun with a limited 15 round capacity. it is rather large and heavy for what it is. the lighter springs do make a difference, but not a huge one. i went from the factory 20lb mainspring to an 18 pound spring down to a 16 pound spring. 20 round capacity that fits(mostly) flush. i've heard it said that handguns are the most personal of all firearms. i happen to have fairly large hands and the gun just feels right to me. Here's my short write up of the pros and cons of the beretta from another thread: is this the same for berettas? im leaning towards a beretta but only if it is reliable. Yeah i have handled both of them and.i kind of like the way the beretta feels more.i know they are both accurate.i also know glocks will feed about anything with reliabillity.
